The first team of NK Pag

The seniors carry the competitive responsibility of the first team, but their role does not end with the result. They represent the name of Pag at every away game, set the standard of daily work and show younger players that the path from the first boots to the senior jersey can be real.

First team · season 2026/27

Numbers are short. The responsibility of the first team is much greater.

For a quick overview, it is enough to know who makes up the staff, how much they work, who wears the captain's armband and where the team's home is. Everything else the Seniors have to show on the field.

The identity of the game

The team needs to know how they want to defend, how they want to come out with the ball and what to do when the game gets messy.

Stability throughout the season

One good game is not enough. The standard can be seen in training, visiting and reaction after a bad result.

An example for the academy

The seniors must show the younger ones that the club way exists — through behavior, presence and real opportunities.

The first team is worth the most when the result and the development of the club are not opposed to each other.

The coach leads the preparation, selection of staff and matches, but at the same time builds a team culture that must represent the club responsibly — through work, behavior, results and attitude towards the younger categories.

Naum Batkoski runs the NK Pag academy and works with the Papaline players, Cadets and Seniors. His role is not only to prepare the training, but to connect the developmental stages of the club — from the first meeting of a child with Julovica to the demands of the senior team.
